Niagen® Therapy in Central Florida
Support cellular energy from the inside out.
Every cell in your body relies on NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) to produce energy, repair DNA, and maintain healthy cellular function. As we age, NAD⁺ levels naturally decline, which may contribute to reduced energy production, slower recovery, and changes associated with healthy aging.
Niagen® (nicotinamide riboside, or NR) is a patented form of vitamin B3 that serves as a highly efficient precursor to NAD⁺. By providing your body with the building blocks it needs to produce NAD⁺, Niagen® helps support your cells' natural ability to generate energy and maintain optimal function.
At The IV Nurse, Niagen® is administered by experienced registered nurses under the direction of licensed medical providers using evidence-informed protocols tailored to your wellness goals.

WHAT IS NIAGEN®?
Niagen® is the world's most extensively researched nicotinamide riboside (NR), with numerous published clinical studies evaluating its ability to safely increase NAD⁺ levels in humans.
Unlike NAD⁺ itself, Niagen® enters cells efficiently and is converted into NAD⁺ through your body's natural metabolic pathways, helping replenish this essential coenzyme where it is needed most.

NIAGEN® Research & Clinical Studies
Interested in the science behind Niagen®?
Nicotinamide riboside (NR), the active ingredient in Niagen®, has been studied in human clinical trials for its ability to increase NAD+ levels and its potential role in healthy aging and cellular function. Most published human research has evaluated oral NR, while research on intravenous administration continues to evolve.
Niagen® & NAD+ Levels
NR, NAD+ & Healthy Aging
This randomized crossover trial studied Niagen® in healthy middle-aged and older adults. Six weeks of supplementation increased NAD+ metabolism and was well tolerated; the researchers also observed preliminary cardiovascular findings that they concluded warranted further study.
NR & Cognitive Aging
Researchers studied nicotinamide riboside in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. NR significantly increased blood NAD+ concentrations and was well tolerated, but did not improve cognition during the study, highlighting the difference between successfully raising NAD+ and proving a specific clinical benefit.
What Does the Evidence Say?
A 2026 systematic review evaluated NAD+-related interventions, including nicotinamide riboside, across human and preclinical studies. The research supports the ability of NAD+ precursors such as NR to increase NAD+-related biomarkers, while evidence for broader anti-aging and wellness outcomes remains mixed and continues to develop.
