How Mobile IV Therapy Works
Getting personalized IV therapy at home, work, or your hotel is simple. From booking and medical screening to your treatment and follow-up, here’s what to expect when you schedule a mobile IV visit with The IV Nurse.

Step 1: Schedule Your Appointment
-
Book online through our website or call/text us directly.
-
Select your IV treatment, or we can help you choose the best option for your needs.
-
Tell us where you’d like us to come—your home, hotel, office, or vacation rental.
-
Complete your intake, medical history, and consent forms before your visit.
Step 2: Appointment Confirmation
-
You’ll receive a confirmation by text once your appointment is scheduled.
-
Before your visit, you’ll receive any necessary forms and appointment details.
-
Your nurse will contact you when they’re on the way.
Step 3: On-Site Assessment
-
When your nurse arrives, they’ll review your health history, medications, symptoms, and wellness goals.
-
Your nurse will check your vital signs and confirm that your selected treatment is appropriate for you.
-
If you’re a new patient or your annual Good Faith Exam (GFE) is due, a brief telehealth evaluation with one of our medical providers must be completed before treatment. Your GFE is typically valid for 12 months unless there are significant changes to your medical history.
Step 4: IV Placement & Infusion
-
Your nurse will prepare a clean, comfortable space and place your IV.
-
Once your IV is started, your infusion will begin. Treatment time varies depending on the IV you select.
-
Your nurse will remain with you throughout your treatment and monitor you during the infusion.
-
Feel free to relax, work, watch TV, or simply enjoy the downtime.
Step 5: Post-Treatment Care & Wrap-Up
-
Once your infusion is complete, your nurse will remove the IV and make sure you’re feeling well before wrapping up your visit.
-
You’ll receive any relevant post-treatment instructions or recommendations based on your visit.
-
Payment is completed securely at the end of your appointment.
-
Have questions afterward? Our team is available if you need us.
Step 6: After Your Visit
-
How you feel after an IV can vary depending on the treatment, your individual needs, and the reason for your visit.
-
Continue with normal hydration and follow any specific post-treatment instructions provided by your nurse.
-
If you have questions after your visit, our team is available to help.
-
Ready for another visit? You can easily schedule your next appointment online.
