What should I expect during my mobile IV therapy visit?
Your nurse will come directly to your home, office, hotel, or preferred location with everything needed for your treatment. We’ll review your health history, discuss how you’re feeling and your wellness goals, check your vital signs, and help determine the most appropriate IV therapy for you.If this is your first visit with us, or it has been more than 12 months since your last Good Faith Exam (GFE), we’ll also complete a brief telehealth GFE with our medical provider before treatment. Once completed, your GFE is valid for 12 months.Once your IV is started, you can relax while your infusion runs. Most treatments take approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the therapy selected. Your nurse stays with you throughout the visit to monitor your infusion, answer questions, and make sure you’re comfortable from start to finish.
How long does an IV infusion take?
Most IV infusions take approximately 30–60 minutes, although some specialty treatments may take longer. Your nurse will let you know what to expect before beginning.
Does the nurse stay during my entire infusion?
Yes. Your nurse remains with you throughout your treatment to monitor your infusion, assess how you’re feeling, and make sure you’re comfortable, and disconnect your line when it's finished.
Does getting an IV hurt?
You may feel a quick pinch when the IV catheter is inserted, but most people are comfortable once it is in place. Our nurses are experienced in IV placement and will always prioritize your comfort.
Can I eat or drink before my IV?
Yes—and we generally recommend that you do. Unless you’ve been given different instructions for a specific service, having a light meal and drinking water before your appointment can make your experience more comfortable.
